The weather was perfect, the grounds were perfect and the competitors and support crews were also perfect.
With hacking events in the morning and sporting events on offer for the afternoon entertainment, good entries were assured.
This day is held in memory of Aileen Wilson, Jack Wallace and Maree Wilson.
"This day is held in memory of Aileen Wilson, Jack Wallace and Maree Wilson, who were committed members of the club for many years."
- Ulladulla District Riders Club
These wonderful people were committed members of their club for many, many years.
The day was also about encouraging novice riders into their first showing experience, learning from other more experienced competitors and judges and having fun along the way.
More than 60 horses were entered for the day, so with five rings running for the morning events, the committee were kept busy making sure all competitors were in the right place at the right time.
They would like to thank our generous supporters for this day, Budget Produce Ulladulla, Southern Rural Ulladulla, Milton CRT Country Store and Catherin McMillan Portrait Artist.
These wonderful local businesses ensured there were plenty of prizes on offer for the day.
Their judges for the day were Lauren MacKinnon, Glen Drury, Jodi Smith, Alison Carey and Brian Clarke.
The judges were very happy with the attendance and very encouraging to our junior and novice riders.
A special thank you to our wonderful stewards, Jane Knuckey, Rachel Phillips, Donella Boyd, Sarnah Unsworth and Tammi MacKinnon.
These lovely ladies kept the riders in order and the rings running smoothly.
A huge thank you to Gina and Angelina for looking after the canteen for the day.
Good food is always a must at our days and this was well and truely achieved with a very tasty BBQ and lots of other goodies on offer.
And we can’t forget John Wilson.
It was lovely to have John back on deck, being the best groundsman a club could wish for.
The results of the day are as follows; Aileen Wilson Memorial Pointscore Trophy went to Miss Madalyn Woods riding Mr Percival, the Jack Wallace Memorial Pointscore Trophy went to Stoneage Joe, campaigned by Miss Jacquie Rowlands, owned by Willinga Park Stockhorses of Bawley Point and the Maree Wilson Memorial Trophy Supreme Ridden Stockhorse was Glencoe Craftsman, ridden by Lynda Pattullo, owned by Willinga Park Stockhorses of Bawley Point.
